Cindy Tapia

Cindy Tapia is a healthcare leader, nurse practitioner, community advocate, and proud resident of Benson, Arizona. With more than 30 years of nursing experience, she has dedicated her career to improving healthcare access, patient outcomes, and the well-being of rural communities. Cindy holds a Master of Science in Nursing with concentrations in Nursing Administration and as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Throughout her career, she has served in leadership roles focused on quality improvement, infection control and prevention, risk management, community health, and as a flight nurse. She has led initiatives addressing healthy aging, chronic disease prevention, food security, dementia-friendly communities, and innovative rural healthcare solutions. A strong believer in service and collaboration, Cindy is passionate about bringing people together to solve challenges and create opportunities for future generations. As an active member of the Benson community and council member, she is committed to supporting local families, strengthening economic development, improving public services, and helping ensure Benson remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
